Background

Departmental Inquiry means an inquiry held into the allegations or charges levelled against an employee for violation of departmental rules or misconduct. Relying on the principle that no one should be condemned unheard, inquiry is conducted into the allegations of the violations of Company rules to give the other person a reasonable opportunity to defend herself/himself.

Therefore, it is imperative that the Organizations must have trained manpower who can conduct inquiries in fair and just manner.
